As a valued member of the Legal and Compliance organization, this position has high visibility and exposure to upper management in supporting a competitive business within the healthcare industry.The Legal Specialist will work closely and collaborate with Counsel, Sr. Counsel and Managing Senior Counsel.Candidates for this position will be based in Atlanta.Key Relationships:* Reports to: Sr. Counsel, Intellectual PropertyPosition Description* Participate in development of policies and best practices for management of confidential information and trade secrets.* Participate in development of policies and best practices for management of other IP-related relationships, such as software escrow, independent contractors, partnerships and joint development.* Manage the ongoing creation, review, negotiation and archiving of IP-related agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements and other standard business agreements.* Other responsibilities, depending on experience and capabilities of candidate, will include additional duties within the intellectual property group relating to patent, copyright, and trademark matters.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsUp to 3 years related work experienceCritical Skills* Ability to draft, edit and negotiate IP agreements.* Familiarity with broader intellectual property practice and software is preferred.* Demonstrated excellence in conducting in-depth legal research and analysis regarding a broad range of health care or intellectual property issues.* Demonstrated ability to conduct complex initiatives in a self-directed manner, with minimal oversight by attorneys, and to ...
