Ohio University Employer Relations Assistant (Full-Time, Term) in Athens, Ohio

Job Description:


This position functions as assistant to employer relations specializing in projects incorporating quantitative and qualitative research for program design and execution, employer and industry insights, and systems support. The position takes responsibility for completion of tasks assigned by senior members of the project team, communicates with fellow project team-members, and assists with student training and oversight of their work.

Primary Accountabilities

  1. Assists with employer and career programming through quantitative and qualitative research incorporating analysis of existing employer and career outcomes data, employer survey instrumentation development and analysis, and industry expectations, peer institution best practices, and student needs for employer engagement.
  2. Maintains data in employer and student systems which includes providing entry standards, running regular reports, and presenting information informally to internal stakeholders in the College of Business.
  3. Participates in meetings with employers (external stakeholders) to promote opportunities for recruitment.
  4. Communicates with fellow project team-members and assists with student training and oversight of their work.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree OR -A minimum of 2 years of relevant prior experience (can include internships) and must be enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program in related field. -Basic computer skills; ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail and Internet -Driver’s license and ability to travel outside Athens area including overnight travel to conduct research and meet with external stakeholders.
