General Description

Department: Health Policy & Management Hours Worked: Monday - Friday - Up to 27 hours /wk

The Research Assistant will work on research, analysis, and education concerning the organization, financing, and mode of delivery for health care particularly to undeserved and vulnerable populations. Assistance to the Director of Programs to coordinate activities related to implementation education and research programs. Activities include coordinate schedules, prepare PPT slides, conduct basic literature review and synthesis, and edit reports., etc. Activities across projects may include one or more of the following areas; conducting timely policy analysis and white papers, developing and testing primary care assessment tools, designing and data and implementing quality of care, case-mix, outcome, and cost-effectiveness studies, and initiating more in-depth, longer-term research projects on most salient policy and research areas in primary care

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline. Some related experience.

Health care methods relevant to the goals of the center.Program evaluation, health services research methods, survey research, and etc. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. Fore jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree preferred.
