Job Overview:

If you are chosen for this opportunity, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing title documents; such as mortgages, deeds, liens, judgments, easements, plat books, contracts and related documents to verify property ownership and restriction. You will communicate issues and/or discrepancies associated with property ownership to our customers.

  • Review and analyze all public records received from an abstractor.

  • Determine whether or not the title is free from judgment or lien restrictions that may affect the property’s sale or use.

  • Contact abstractors, tax offices, foreclosure attorneys and/or customers with questions when there are discrepancies or issues with documents associated with the title or title requirements.

  • Prepare reports describing any title restrictions such as delinquent taxes, and outline actions needed to clear the titles.

  • Deliver completed reports to the customer and ensure that the customer is properly billed for our services.

  • Assist with incoming email/phone inquiries for the title and closing teams as necessary.

  • Related job duties and tasks as needed.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field and/or 2 years of experience as a Title Examiner or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • You are able to catch important details that help mitigate potential risk for the company and the customer.
