Exciting opportunity for a legal assistant a boutique law firm!! Kelly Legal Managed Services (KLMS) is actively recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join a small law firm in Cape Coral, FL. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offered at a competitive rate.
Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
Receives incoming telephone calls from clients; obtains information requested from attorney or forwards inquiries to attorney, as necessary. Schedules, calendars, cancels and confirms appointments, mediations, hearings etc. Drafts engagement agreement and provides signup paperwork to new clients, processes payment, explains forms required for completion. Scans and maintains all documents received from clients in an organized manner. Drafts and mails correspondence to clients regarding mediations, hearings, and other matters as requested by the attorney. Communicates with attorney throughout clients’ cases, informing attorney about difficulties obtaining payments or other issues. Communicates with clients throughout the entire case ensuring that clients know about their trust account balance, outstanding invoices, and all documents required are received in a timely manner. Keeps track of clients’ cases. Handles clients’ complaints or concerns. Performs a variety of routine clerical tasks.
