Navigant will be interviewing potential consultant candidates for entry-level positions in two of its major practices that focus on the management and resolution of large, complex business problems that arise from litigation, regulatory requirements, or some other type of operational challenge. Shown below are brief summaries of the two practices that will be interviewing as part of this job posting:
Navigant’s Disputes and Investigations Practice. The Disputes and Investigations practice focuses on assisting a diverse set of clients with the resolution of different types of financial, accounting, and economic challenges. While the exact nature of our work varies from case to case, it’s generally associated with some type of complex investigation, large scale litigation, and/or regulatory challenge. Our professionals work across a wide range of industries throughout a number of different geographies. Our diverse consulting engagements generally fall into one of four key areas:
Commercial Litigation and Forensic Accounting – We help clients on matters involving a wide range of forensic accounting assignments ranging from whistleblower investigations to the review of complex financial reporting matters involving Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. We also assist clients with mergers and acquisitions, with due diligence, and in the resolution of purchase price disputes. Finally, we assist clients with anti-bribery investigations, Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance matters, and with other types of general litigation support needs.
International Arbitration – We assist multinational companies that are involved in some type of international litigation or arbitration matter. Relying upon our knowledge and deep expertise in valuation, damages, and expert testimony, we assist clients with the development of insightful solutions that are easy to understand and are acceptable to international tribunals trying to navigate and render an opinion on difficult matters.
Healthcare Disputes – We combine our in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry and its regulations with crucial industry experience in data management, investigative skills, and financial acumen to help Healthcare organizations decide the best course of action in healthcare disputes, investigations, and compliance matters.
Financial Services Disputes – We have worked on some of the largest and most complex commercial litigation and special investigations within the financial services industry, where we provide clients with proven experience and expert services in the accounting, economic, regulatory, and management aspects of both commercial disputes and regulatory investigations.

Our consultants perform a wide range of functions including but not limited to:
Analytics and Problem Solving – Navigant’s consultants perform critical, value-add work that can directly impact a client’s bottom line. Responsibilities may include developing and performing financial, accounting, economic, and statistical analyses; providing detailed fact finding, research, and analysis; developing computer models including detailed and complex spreadsheet analyses; and assisting with data gathering activities including document review, research, and quality control of data entry activities. Our professionals may also assist in the preparation of expert reports and exhibits, and in creating proper documentation for our analyses.
Client Service and Project Management – Our employees execute and deliver high quality engagement tasks both independently and in a collaborative setting with a focus on client satisfaction. Our consultants play a lead role in supporting key client projects, ensuring projects are completed in an efficient manner to meet client deadlines.
Practce and Business Development – Our consultants participate in the management and development of practice initiatives (e.g., recruiting, people and culture, internal communications, and training) and assist our leaders as they engage in the pursuit of new business including drafting documents, proposals, and client presentations.
Industry Knowledge and Development – As a Consultant, you can expect to expand your industry knowledge, contribute to the development of consulting capabilities, and effectively articulate our key business propositions to clients.
The successful candidate will generally have:
Planned graduation with an undergraduate degree between December 2017 and August 2018 with a business-related or technical major (e.g. Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics) with an overall GPA of 3.2 or better.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Creative problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset.
Strong data analysis skills.
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize tasks.
Highly motivated, driven, and dynamic attitude towards work and career.
Ability to excel within a team environment and independently.
Passion about work and personal life.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Access, and Visio is a plus.
Demonstrable willingness to travel up to 100% for client engagements and work overtime when needed.
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work
Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location
Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data
Generally works in an office environment
