We are seeking a corporate attorney with a minimum 3 years' major law firm corporate experience and keen desire to become involved in a Vertically Integrated Hospitality Organization. Under the direction of the General Counsel, the Corporate Attorney will be a key member of the legal team for this rapidly growing company. This position will assist the General Counsel in a wide variety of legal matters for a company that does business in several states in the country. This is an ideal position for an attorney who thrives in a past-faced, dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment and is ready to leave the large law firm life behind. Primary Job Responsibilities:
Participate in corporate projects of a significant nature.
Provide legal counsel to various business units as needed.
Develop new in-house procedures and assist with training and implementation.
Assist in all facets of maintaining the company in regulatory compliance in a variety of states.
Draft and amend contracts, including review and analysis of third party contracts, and as necessary negotiate with third parties and/or their counsel.
Advise on general legal matters as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Requirements: At least 3 years' experience as a corporate attorney at a recognized law firm and/or in-house legal department. Education, Certification, Licenses Registrations: JD from a US law school required; bar membership required; licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina. Attributes/Competencies:
Must have solid legal experience in general real estate transactions and corporate matters
Timeshare/Hospitality Law experience preferred.
Must be an excellent drafter and negotiator of contracts
Excellent legal written and communication skills
Must be able to handle a large case load, prioritize work, manage expectations and be well organized
Need the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects
Must continuously look for ways to do things faster and better, while maintaining high-quality standards
Expected to work independently but also be a team player and collaborator
