Lockheed Martin Contracts Negotiator in Grand Prairie, Texas
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a Sr. Contracts Negotiator for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support Sustainment contracts in the Air and Missile Defense Business Area for Lower-Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense (PAC-3). Tasks include:
Provides proposal preparation support (e.g., follow-on contracts, change orders, etc. and contract guidance throughout.
Reviews and evaluates Customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts.
Assists with preparation of proposals, preparation of proposal review briefing packages, fact finding and negotiation; provide risk assessments and offers creative contracting approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language / clauses.
Investigates and reconciles significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc. and advises management of contractual rights and responsibilities.
Candidate must have understanding of financial terms and concepts (proposal pricing, EVMS, Executive Planning Panel experience).
Some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications Ability to obtain a security clearance
Experience in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, administration, and close-out
Candidate must possess the ability to influence positive business outcomes with fact, reason, and the ability to convey the company’s positions both orally and via exceptional writing skills
Incentive Fee knowledge of both Cost Type and Fixed Price arrangements
Strong working knowledge of FAR / DFARS
Must be able to coordinate DCAA and DCMA activities including audits, performance based payment plans
Basic understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and the associated financial terms / vernacular
Working knowledge of Asserted Rights Categories and Protection of Intellectual Property
Confidence in presentation skills and in-depth knowledge of the FAR and DFARS is mandatory
Microsoft Office computer skills
Electronic Contracting Environment (ECE) skills
Ability to travel, as required
Desired skills Contracting experience with the U.S. Government and Foreign Governments
Proven experience administering and negotiating a variety of fixed price type (FFP, FPIF) and cost type contracts (CPFF, CPIF)
Sustainment, Logistics and IDIQ experience a plus
Candidate should be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and achieve program goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Candidate should be a proactive self-starter who is detail and teamwork oriented
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
The qualified individual should be able to establish effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers and possess excellent business acumen
Should possess strong analytical skills and be a team player
