Whittier Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center Paralegal in Haverhill, Massachusetts

Paralegal* *-_ _Part Time, 20 hours per week. Preferably Monday‐Friday, 4 hours/day (flexible between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Seeking a part time Paralegal to join our corporate legal department.

  • Corporate Document Management: Organize, maintain and have responsibility for electronic and, where necessary, physical files for various matters, including litigation, real estate and leasing, construction and corporate structure/transactions.

  • Corporate Licensure and Reporting: Prepare, file and keep current corporate annual reports and business licenses, compile, transmit and keep log of insurance incident reports; respond to requests for corporate ownership and structure information as needed by facilities.

  • Relationship Stewarding and Communication: Communicate with clients network‐wide, fielding inquiries and complaints and, as necessary, marshaling legal department resources to reply to same; communicate ‐ professionally and in a timely fashion ‐ with internal clients, banks, mortgage companies, outside counsel and tenants.

  • Document Drafting: Draft and revise correspondence and documents related to real estate, litigation, construction various other corporate interests.

  • Calendaring: Keep departmental tickler calendar of due dates, prepare and transmit internal/external reminders as necessary.

  • Administration: Support legal department by, among other things, performing all tasks necessary to administer and maintain informational databases, reference lists and internal files; file documents with courts and registries.

  • Partnership and Responsiveness; Be highly organized; learn and anticipate client requests; be responsive to requests from legal department, executive office and any other client across the network; accept ownership for accomplishing new and challenging requests; be active in seeking opportunities to add value.

  • Assist CEO, CFO and COO in matters concerning finance, administration, and operations in any way required.

Prerequisites:

  • 5+ years of experience with paralegal work; Paralegal certification required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft word, excel, power point and outlook.

  • Proficient with internet research.

  • Notary Public

  • Excellent communication, administrative and organizational skills.

  • High level of confidentiality.

  • Willingness to work as part of a dynamic team.
