We have an exciting opportunity for Corporate Counsel to join our fast-paced dynamic legal department at Company , Inc, in our Kansas City, Missouri office. The ideal candidate will provide superior legal support and services, while having the flexibility to support the Chief Counsel and Senior Counsel for Company , in different office locations The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers. Travel is varied less than 20% and will be primarily to Company Inc., eScreen facilities to provide on-site support as needed. The preferred candidate for our Corporate Counsel opportunity must have a collaborative approach to support the Toxicology team, regardless of locations, while applying a comprehensive understanding of the business in combination with the required legal expertise to achieve business objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - KEY ACTIVITIES Negotiate, draft and review an extensive range of agreements for laboratory, medical device manufacturers, and third party administrators, such as confidentiality, lab service agreements, business associate agreements, distribution, consulting, managed care, employment, manufacturing, quality, supply, licensing agreements and government tenders. Review RFPs and government contracts in healthcare and drug testing context and required legal research. Advise on employment drug testing laws and regulations. Assist in advising the business on regulatory, compliance reimbursement, managed care, privacy, stark and healthcare fraud and abuse matters. Identify, anticipate, counsel on and help mitigate key legal risks Assist with third party due diligence program, policy review and other matters as requested by the Senior Counsel. Assist in mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence and project management.
