Role Summary:

We are looking for an engaged, open-minded and well-motivated Legal and Compliance summer intern , to support several Legal and Compliance related projects. This paid internship will provide you with insights into corporate Compliance and Legal, with a specific focus on compliance and business courtesy law across the ASEAN region.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide support to our Regional Compliance Leader in ASEAN. In this role, you will be required to start an in depth project across the region to understand the business courtesy laws. From this, you will write a white paper to help GE understand our legal position in the market.

This is a great opportunity for you to use your in depth analysis skills as well as research skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:

GPA of 3.0 or higher (unofficial transcript should be available upon request).

Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with web technologies

Eligibility Requirements: This vacancy is only open for those existing work permit/student visa.

No work permit will be processed for this role

You must be available full-time from Sept/Oct for a three month period.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Degree concentration in Legal or Legal related studies, or a related discipline.

  • Independent problem solver, analytical, communicates well.

  • Prior internship or work experience in an office environment.

  • Knowledge of Legal or Compliance practices.

  • Prior project coordination experience.

  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues and devise solutions.
