Ahern Rentals is seeking a Corporate Paralegal in our Henderson office to provide assistance and support to the General Counsel (GC) while supporting all aspects of the Companys legal and regulatory functions. The successful candidate will have the following skills and abilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs a wide variety of complex administrative and paralegal tasks in support of the administrative work of the General Counsels office such as doing research, developing, revisions, reports and processing of template agreements, terms, contracts, key clauses, template database and any additional legal documents

  • Assist in litigation management

  • Maintains records of corporate litigation matters, contracts, minute books and other corporate documents

  • Draft, analyze, communicate, prepare, file, monitor, maintain and redline routine legal documents

  • Processes legal invoices for payment and track legal expenses/budgeting with reports

  • Coordinates/administers financing, business transactions and review/prepare of schedules due diligence as required

  • Tracks, distributes, and maintains documents and other records of highly confidential and/or sensitive information

  • Manage special projects outsourced to consultants or outside counsel

  • Other duties as assigned by Management

  • Minimum 3/5 years of proven and progressive corporate paralegal experience

  • Paralegal Degree or Certification required; Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with the flexibility to multi-task, organize heavy workloads, prioritize multiple projects based on the urgency of deadlines, immediate issues and daily demands of the legal department

  • Assertiveness, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong desire for learning

  • Superior time management and thriving on the challenge of a fast-paced team environment while working independently

  • Ability to understand general business operations and dynamics beyond the scope of basic legal issues

  • Strong computer skills and high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications/CounselLink e-billing and matter management solution a plus

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English with exceptional writing skills

  • Must be able to pass drug test and background check

  • Must be able to provide Motor Vehicle Record at time of job offer (current within 15 days)
