McGuireWoods LLP has an opening for a Litigation Case Assistant in our Los Angeles - Century City office. The legal case assistant provides support to paralegals and attorneys in the financial services litigation group. Qualities possessed by an ideal candidate include up to two years of general/clerical legal experience in the litigation department of a law firm, an eye for detail and accuracy, strong organizational skills, and a desire to learn and grow within the role.

Organizes, labels and files case materials as directed
Maintains and organizes supplies to support client matters, including distribution of supplies and case files for special projects/events such as trial and on-site document reviews, collections and productions
Maintains and retrieves case files as requested and prepares closed matters for off-site storage
Processes production letters and other case correspondence and pleadings
Obtains court related documents and assists with document collection and maintaining electronic databases
Organizes document productions and prepares indices of document productions
May serve as a resource and communicate with the client(s)
Requires high school diploma or equivalent with some college education preferred and one to two years law office clerical or general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong attention to detail
Accurate filing skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) is required
