Position Summary: In this role, you will act as legal assistant for the Group Legal Counsel. As Corporate Paralegal will assist in various facets of corporate law and the daily operations of Cennox's legal department. This will be a full-time, temporary position with the possibility to become full-time, regular employment. Duties & Responsibilities: Complete routine legal tasks such as updating company files, preparing legal contracts, reviewing documents, and giving legal assistance Handle executive summaries and directives Assist with company compliance issues Attend corporate meetings Prepare corporate resolutions, legal documents, case components, etc. Aid in document management; drafting, proofing, and editing of a wide range of agreements, contracts, and correspondence Help ensure the company operates within the legal requirements set forth by local, state, and federal regulations Research, gather, organize, and process information pertaining to current corporate legal matters Organize calendar deadlines and updates Maintain electronic and hardcopy files Perform other duties as required, requested, or assigned Qualifications: Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office Working knowledge of standard office procedures and technology Strong administrative background Ability to interface well with all levels of personnel Demonstrate experience with all manner of corporate documents Ability to organize and prioritize work Must be detail-oriented and extremely accurate Strong communication both verbal and written Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced setting Self-starter with ability to stay on task and work independently when necessary Education: Postsecondary education in paralegal studies; equivalent experience will be considered as well Paralegal certificate preferred Experience: Prior corporate experience would be a plus Previous internship/work experience in a law firm
