The position will provide support and analysis for various legal matters and functions, including but not limited to managing subpoena compliance, reviewing service of process received by the Legal Department to ensure proper handling and maintain various litigation logs and databases.

This position will report to the AVP & Assistant General Counsel for Antitrust and Litigation. The Legal Assistant must possess excellent organizational skills and a close attention to detail, advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Due to various litigation matters that the candidate will encounter, the successful candidate will have a strong ability to multi-task, to set priorities in the face of competing demands and to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will also possess good judgment and a strong ability to communicate problems and other high priority items to the AVP & Assistant General Counsel.

Provide general paralegal support for various litigation matters and functions.

Manage subpoena compliance, respond to incoming subpoenas, gather and review all responsive documents and maintain the subpoena log.

Review daily various complaints, and other pleadings received by the Legal Department and ensure that they are properly being handled by the appropriate Line of Business, department or insurer.

Maintain Aramark’s Document Retention Log.

Prepare and/or maintain various litigation logs, reports and databases.

Maintain database of EEOC charges and other employment claims.

Assist in the administration of Aramark’s E-billing systems.

Ability to work closely across lines of business and all levels of management.

Ability to request and use discretion in working with confidential information regarding employees, clients and vendors.


For this position, a BS/BA degree or equivalent is preferred and a solid knowledge and understanding of legal terminology and the legal process is required. Experience in litigation matters is also required. Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
