Robert Half Legal Intake Director (Conflicts) in Phoenix, Arizona

Robert Half Legal is seeking an Intake Director (Conflicts) for our client, a reputable downtown international law firm. This position is responsible for managing new business intake and conflicts department and processes to ensure that new clients and matters are opened quickly and efficiently, and in compliance with the rules of professional conduct and applicable law as well as the firm's strategic and financial goals. Work with lawyers in all offices including internationally, in a high-charged, fast-paced work environment, with dual reporting to the firm's leadership. Collaborate with senior management to develop, implement and enforce new business intake and conflict policies. The position manages and supervises all staff within the department including conflicts lawyers. In addition to managerial responsibilities, you will assume conflict lawyer responsibilities for analyzing and clearing potential conflicts of interest for new client matters and lateral lawyers. This position will have Managerial and Conflicts Analysis and Clearance components. Minimum Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) and admission to a bar (active and in good standing).

  • Minimum of six years' law firm (or other professional services firm) experience in a lawyer role, including at least two years conflicts work at a law firm and legal, writing, or research experience related to the skills and duties of the position as described.

  • Minimum of three years' experience working with and/or managing a team within a law firm (or other professional services firm).

  • Working knowledge of the rules of professional conduct.

  • Ability to turn around work under pressure, manage production of work with short deadlines, and meet overall timeliness demands for the new business opening process.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, including ability to delegate and work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.

  • Consistent attention to detail.

  • Facility with computer systems in use at law firms including business intake systems and research systems such as Moody's, Bureau van Dijk (Orbis, Compliance Catalyst, World Compliance), LexisNexis and others. * Please submit your resume in WORD to Swetal.Shah@RobertHalfLegal.com with subject "Director Conflicts". * Thank you!
