Eaton Corporation Analyst-Legal in Pune, India

After a limited period of time of working under supervision of and training the Analyst:

  • Acts as contact person for different Eaton businesses for Contracts, receives requests for reviewing, drafting different types of contracts and inquires relevant information.

  • Provides drafts for Contracts based on internal EATON templates, playbooks and information delivered by the relevant Eaton business.

  • Advises Eaton business on all aspects of the contracts, whenever necessary or requested by the Eaton business.

  • Reviews and revises draft Contracts of external parties.

  • Discusses revised draft Contracts with EATON business and advises on further proceedings.

  • Conducts negotiations with external parties to discuss deviations of requests of external partner from EATON template and/or guidelines.

  • Develops best practice strategies for contract work and improves as well as supplements existing templates and materials on contract review (playbooks), and creates new templates in cooperation with the US Electrical Contracts Team.

  • Communicates effectively with Business/ Attorneys and other members of the US Contracts Team

Qualifications

  • Law degree; Education in contract law (e.g. as part of education for gaining law degree); knowledge of business and/or technologies and/or EATON is an advantage

  • Minimum 6 years of experience on contract drafting, review, and negotiation

  • Experience working in a multinational work environment would be also an advantage

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to people at different levels and functions of the organization

  • Good negotiation skills and influencing skill

  • Eager to communicate with people from other countries and cultures

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills

  • Language skills in other languages of the EMEA region would be an advantage (e.g. German, French etc.)

  • Excellent document drafting skills

  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
