Nutanix Senior Counsel, Labor & Employment in San Jose, California
Nutanix is looking for a high-performing Senior Counsel, Labor & Employment who can thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment to join our dynamic Legal team. You will have a broad range of responsibilities providing general employment law support globally and partnering with Human Resources organization to support an employee base of 2,500+ employees and growing. This position will be based in San Jose, CA.
Provide legal advice on a broad range of employment issues relating to the entire employee life cycle across a global employee base spanning 40+ countries, including recruiting, hiring, global expansion, training, employee relations, performance management, employee communications, HR best practices, compensation and benefits, leaves of absence, discrimination and harassment issues, investigations, terminations, etc.
Manage and monitor any US and international legislation and regulations related to labor, employment, privacy, diversity and equal pay issues and provide strategic advice to senior executives and business stakeholders.
Partner and counsel senior leadership to ensure employment law compliance across all jurisdictions.
Conduct training programs for HR, management and employees.
Assist in formulating, revising and ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.
At least 10 years of employment law experience, with at least 7 years of in-house experience, including international issues
Experience working with growing technology companies and a proven ability to help companies as they scale
J.D. with an active license to practice in California
Sound and practical business judgment, intellectual creativity and problem-solving skills
