Enterprise Holdings’ Corporate Counsel department has an immediate opening a Corporate Counsel member. This position will provide legal advice and counsel to various corporate constituencies in designated functional areas and operating units. This position will primarily be responsible for ensuring the competent and timely provision of legal services across a broad range of activity, including commercial transactions, litigation, general corporate and preventative law initiatives.

This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO.

  • Manage and assist his/her clients with resolving all legal issues pertaining to various corporate, transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters in a manner consistent with the company’s business philosophy and strategy, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

  • Prepare and negotiate contracts to which the company is a party and ensure that they properly protect Enterprise’s interests and objectives

  • Provide timely and accurate interpretations of the various laws and regulations affecting Enterprise’s businesses to management and operating personnel; keep them apprised of the types of action that require legal consideration

  • Monitor and keep management and operating personnel abreast of the existence and impact of judicial and regulatory developments affecting potential legal exposures and compliance obligations of the company

  • Provide ongoing strategic planning, guidance and consultation regarding potential and actual disputes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school required

  • Admission to at least one state bar in the United States required

  • Previous Westlaw experience required

  • 5 years of relevant experience in a business law firm or in a corporate law department with a proven record of professional excellence and achievement required

  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office products required (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
