Laser Spine Institute Legal Assistant and Deposition Coordinator in Tampa, Florida

This individual should be able to review and prepare various legal documents and correspondence under supervision. This individual will be responsible for carrying out routine aspects of data compilation and conveying routine legal information under supervision. This indivual will be responsible for supporting the Legal Department by assisting with various legal and administrative duties. This individual will als be responsible for coordinating all depositions for physicians, records custodians, and corporate representatives of Laser Spine Institute for cases in which Laser Spine Institute is a non-party.

  • Assist the Legal Department with various legal and administrative support as needed

  • Schedule and coordinate depositions with attorney's offices and Laser Spine Institute personnel for all Laser Spine Institute locations

  • Gather documents responsive to subpoenas for the scheduled depositions

  • Organize medical records for Laser Spine Institute physician's for their depositions

  • Invoice and receive payment for Laser Spine Institute, physicians and other personnel if applicable for their deposition time

  • Maintain and update scheduling and invoice forms for depositions

  • Escort attorneys and court reporters to and from the deposition room in the Tampa location

  • Provide assistance as needed during depositions

  • Conduct routine and specific legal and factual information research and compile and organize information, as appropriate.

  • Gather relevant information and documents and compile data from a variety of sources.

  • Perform a wide variety of word processing assignments which may be confidential in nature and require research.

  • Schedule appointments and perform other duties related to maintaining schedules and coordinating meetings and conferences, including travel arrangements.

  • Assist with data compilation, including intellectual property, property leases, vendor contracts, and physician agreements.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Legal background preferred


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent


  • 2 Years Administrative Experience
