This Contract Manager position is a fully outsourced role sitting within the Contracts and Grants structure of a PRA sponsor, a top 5 global pharmaceutical company. The role of Contract Manager is designed expedite contract negotiation and execution by acting as a resource and liason for the Contracts and Grants group; to streamline requests to law department and avoid duplication of efforts among Contract & Grants team. The CM acts as main point of contact with legal department to resolve complex legal issues while ensuring compliance with company process and strategy and subsequently disseminating information to stakeholders and team members. The CM acts as liaison between the Law Department, regional/country clinical operations personnel, HCC and CGAs/CGA Management during issue escalation. The CM will lead/conduct contract negotiations on high risk terms and conditions, complex agreements and other relevant legal documents related to clinical trials. They will liaise with in house legal counsel and internal stakeholders as appropriate to prepare, organise and maintain contract templates in accordance with changes in laws, regulations, or corporate policies.
To be considered for this position candidates must hold Juris Doctor (JD) degree or paralegal certification, and ideal have at least four years experience with contract law in the pharmaceutical/clinical research industry and/or equivalent competencies in relevant fields. Must have a working knowledge of the clinical development process with at least 3 years of contract negotiation experience. Must have elligibility to work in the UK, and have fluent written and spoken English.
