Position Description:

  • Address queries from customers, brokers or agents through phone or e-mail.

  • Assist in acknowledging submissions received from customers and intermediaries

  • Assist in following up the status of new business and renewal quotes to customers and intermediaries

  • Assist in AIG Academy/Broker Trainings preparation, invitation, follow ups and post-event communication

  • Assist in LFL marketing events from preparation to actual event to post-event communication.

  • Assist the Assistant Manager and LFL Head in identifying cross-sell opportunities on Renewal Portfolio.

  • Provide customers and brokers with product profiles as necessary and promote AIG website

  • Timely mailing of renewal notices and policy documents to policyholders and/or intermediaries.

  • Liaise with administration staff, legal, claims, finance and accounting and any other services centre to ensure awareness of underwriting and business activities support standards required

  • Assist in submission of reports to regulators

  • Ensure delivery of reports and compliance tasks in timely fashion to key internal stakeholders as and when required.

  • Keep LFL head and Underwriters aware of major underwriting issues noted in the process of evaluating risks.

  • Contribute positively and constructively during performance review and goal setting process.

  • Attend trainings both internal and external as recommended by LFL Head and HR.

  • Assist underwriters in achieving top line targets.

  • Assist underwriters in minimizing expenses on paper by minimizing errors in issuance of policy documents

  • Assist underwriters in monitoring and collecting outstanding premiums from brokers and clients

  • Enters submissions in eStart and update eStart/Salesforce records as necessary.

  • Prepares underwriting documents, including product raters, exposure analysis/referral workups for review of the underwriters.

  • Prepares quotations, binders, certificate of cover and policy documents for review and signature of Underwriters and/or LFL Head.

  • Prepares renewal notices for signature of LFL Head

  • Adhere to all underwriting disciplines within the profit centre.

  • Work within corporate guidelines and delegated underwriting authority (if any)

  • Enters client information and policy details in booking system (S3x, S3B)

  • Help to maintain active target / prospecting listings on Salesforce and ensure that it is up to date

  • Adherence to all underwriting guidelines, practices and procedures.

  • Compliance with Anti-Money Laundering Act requirements on all policy files.

  • Help to maintain and develop strong working relationships with clients, brokers, reinsurer and other customers both external and internal.

  • Respond to all requests from underwriters in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.

  • Contribute to achievement of growth, profitability and expense management objectives.

Position Requirements:

  • Accounting/Business/Financial Management background

  • Insurance background a plus
