In House Legal Secretary Our client, a leading insurance and warranty company has an immediate opening for a Legal Secretary to provide administrative support for our General Counsel. The ideal candidate has a strong background as a legal secretary. He/she is a hard-working individual who has a creative but analytical and attention to detail mindset. The candidate should be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal daily oversight. Responsibilities would include providing high level administrative support to attorneys, which includes, but is not limited to preparing, maintaining and organizing legal records and documents, creating standardized forms, work flows and improving processes, reading, researching, reviewing, verifying, and routing correspondence, reports and legal documents; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications; organizing client conferences, and attorney meetings; scheduling couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses, and other special functions; coordinating preparation of charts, graphs, and other courtroom visuals; preparing expense reports, maintaining the attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, dispositions, and travel; recording and monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements; monitoring evidence-gathering; anticipating changes in litigation or transaction preparation requirements. You will be representing the attorney by communicating and obtaining information; following-up on delegated assignments; knowing when to act and when to refer matters to attorney. You will be enhancing department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. 5 plus years of experience as a legal secretary is required for this position. Experience with general corporate law, contracts, litigation management, E-Filing and conducting research is required. Successful experience developing responses to Better Business complaints is required. A Paralegal Certification and or a Bachelor's Degree is required. Excellent communication and Office Suite skills are required. The company offers a great salary and excellent benefits.
