The Contracts Associate will prepare and negotiate commercial contracts for various departments within Facebook. This position is located in Austin, TX. This position requires knowledge and experience with commercial contracts and contractual language. The Contracts Associate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent tight deadlines under minimal supervision. Must be comfortable working efficiently and effectively with both internal clients and external vendor attorneys/legal teams.

Required Skills:

  1. Prepare, redline, negotiate and manage commercial contracts including services agreements, Statements of Work, amendments and related legal agreements

  2. Engage in frequent communications with both Facebook’s and vendor’s legal teams

  3. Liaises with business partners to understand their projects goals, project description and all requirements are accurately reflected in each contract

  4. Responsible for entering contracts into Facebook’s contract management tools

  5. Liaises with departments such as finance and legal to ensure agreements are in compliance with legal and budgetary guidelines and policies

  6. Ensure end-to-end successful completion of the assigned contracts

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years of contract drafting and negotiation experience

  2. Experience prioritizing and managing agreements

  3. Analytical and interpersonal experience

  4. Knowledge in business risk with legal/contractual issues

  5. Experience working with various tools including MS Office, Oracle, and contract management tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. JD or paralegal certificate

  2. Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
