Job Description IP Paralegal Position This IP Paralegal position with the Litigation/IP Team in T-Mobile's Legal Department will manage and support IP-related clearance, prosecution, licensing, policing and enforcement projects and daily operations. This position will principally support trademark, copyright and domain portfolio functions, but may assist other intellectual property initiatives. Responsibilities This experienced, highly detail-oriented, and results-focused paralegal, working in the T-Mobile Legal Department, will primarily: Handle trademark docketing to ensure that critical deadlines are captured and attended to in a timely manner. Manage T-Mobile's domain name portfolio, including domain name registration, renewal, transfer and DNS configuration. Assist with trademark clearance searches. Assist with the preparation and filing of U.S. trademark applications and other incidental U.S. trademark filings. Coordinate with foreign trademark counsel, such as foreign trademark clearance searches, application filing and prosecution, and other matters. Assist with domestic and international trademark policing and enforcement, including managing and tracking pending enforcement matters. Assist with litigation and dispute matters, such as trademark infringement cases, and trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings. Advise internal clients regarding proper trademark use, and work with internal clients to obtain specimens of use and coordinate new projects. Assist with T-Mobile's DMCA processes and other copyright-related projects. Analyze and process incoming and outgoing correspondence. Assist with company-wide IP training and communications. Assist with other IP-related projects, including patent matters, as needed Qualifications The successful candidate will have a demonstrated facility in all aspects of trademark, copyright, and domain names, and understanding highly technical concepts from across a wide variety of subject matters. 3+ years law firm or corporate trademark experience. Highly-detailed oriented. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Bachelor's degree required. Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age with at high school diploma, the required experience as listed above, US work authorized and be able to pass the required background check.
