Job id-18000546-7796499d8620c192b0d4e043c Support initiatives, including enhancing legal staff awareness and understanding of significant legal cases relevant to pharmaceutical patents. Research and follow pending patent cases. Draft summaries of pending litigation and update as necessary. Draft summaries of recent court decisions relevant to pharmaceutical patents and related regulatory issues. Assist with drafting and editing of patent applications as needed. Review and summarize patent opinions from outside counsel. Check project IP summaries for accuracy and clarity. Assist in IP due diligence efforts for mergers, acquisitions as necessary. Must possess knowledge of basic organic chemistry; some knowledge of basic patent law is preferred. Must possess excellent written and spoken English skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to handle confidential information in compliance with company policy. The successful candidate will have preferably completed a minimum of their sophomore year and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in a Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacology, Pharmacy or Law degree program or a related field of study. A candidate actively pursuing a Doctorate in Pharmacy or a Juris Doctorate is strongly preferred. A minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred; however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
