A firm specializing in personal injury within auto/trucking accidents is looking for a Mid-Senior Level Paralegal with a strong litigation background. The firm is aggressive, tenacious, driven, and filled with passionate legal professionals. They are expanding rapidly and need to add staff. The candidate needs to be passionate, driven, reliable, accountable, punctual, courteous, and professional. The workweek will be from Monday through Friday, 8-5, with some overtime needed if trials are going on. The role and responsibility of the Paralegal is one of extreme importance to the continuance of the firm. The firm's longevity will depend on the successful candidate to be an independent thinker and to utilize their knowledge and goals for the success of the clients claim to ensure the firm is maximizing recovery for each and every client. Job Responsibilities:

  • Client Service o Dashboard client contact stats are maintained at 90%. o Assist clients in locating medical providers when requested. o Ensure clients receive the right treatment with the right providers at the right times in order to maximize outcomes. o Making sure there is sufficient client contact to satisfy standard operating procedures. o Voicemails received before 3 PM are returned the same business day. Voicemails received after 3 PM are returned before 10 AM the following day

  • File Management o File reviews are maintained at 90% o Value screen is accurate and updated as case progresses. o Client and Attorney are kept informed as to critical deadline and dates during the litigation process.

  • Medical Records and Bills o Medical Records and Bills are up to date at all times. o Balance verifications are done prior to a litigation demand being sent, arbitration, mediation or trial and proper notations are found within the value screen in Needles. o Making sure the firm has updated and accurate documentation from group health subrogation/liens Duties:

  • Managing pre-litigation and litigation dockets by taking ownership of files

  • Assisting Attorneys in preparation for hearings and trials

  • Investigating and fact-finding for cases

  • Assisting in preparing legal documents such as legal arguments, motions, contracts and agreements.

  • Organizing, indexing and tracking files

  • Analyzing and organizing information to produce reports

  • Providing administrative support for attorneys in court and at the offices Preferred Soft Skills:

  • AS, Paralegal Studies (Preferred)

  • Paralegal Certification, ABA Accredited (Preferred)

Requirements: Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience within personal injury/mass tort/storm damage litigation

  • Experience within 10+ Trials

  • Bilingual (Highly preferred)

  • Experience with drafting discovery through knowledge of TRCP rules, E-filing, preparing trial notebooks, ordering medical records, signing up new cases, setting up medical appointments, supervising pre-lit assistants and support staff, responding to client inquiries, scheduling depositions, coordinating with record retrieval companies and deposition companies.

  • Must have the ability to manage case from sign-up to closing out post verdict or settlement with assistance of other support staff

  • Must be a team player and able to provide guidance to pre-litigation team and train when necessary to increase productivity
