General Electric Junior Legal Counsel - Healthcare in Istanbul, Turkey

GE Healthcare (HEHC) is committed to growth and intends to strengthen its presence by the addition of a junior legal counsel to support its operations in Turkey (the Territory). This new position will be based in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Junior Legal Counsel will
Interact with GE personnel at different functions as well as with global Legal team, internal business staff, and external law firms.
Assist in drafting, reviewing and providing legal advice to the GE Healthcare business on a variety of legal matters and transactions, including customer sales, services contracts, commercial, distribution, licensing and sourcing agreements, marketing/communications materials, product documentation.
Assist on corporate governance (including internal transactions between group companies), compliance with healthcare specific regulations, labour & employment, regulatory, privacy, antitrust, advertising/promotional matters, and in particular on public tender, tender, bidding and local public procurement legislation and practices.
Participate in the development of templates and other legal tools including maintaining internal legal support centrals
Work closely with the business Legal and Compliance teams to support their compliance initiatives in the Territory, including export control, tax and customs compliance, also previous experience on interactions with healthcare professionals is strongly preferred.
Junior Legal Counsel reports directly to a Senior Legal Counsel within the regional (EGM) Legal team.
-Juris Doctorate or equivalent from an accredited law school.
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in business law at a premier law firm and/or corporate legal department.
-Member in good standing with local Bar.
-Extensive knowledge of law and commercial legal practice in the Territory.
-Fluency (oral/written) in Turkish and English.
-Significant, sophisticated transactional experience and domestic and international contract drafting and negotiations, including joint ventures, sale, promotion of medical devices and related services; understanding tender, bidding and local public procurement practices.
-Ability to resolve legal issues quickly and effectively and ability to make on the spot risk calls; ability to cope with pressure and multiple deadlines contemporaneously.
-Able to prioritize conflicting demands from business clients in a fast paced environment.
-Strategist, who is able to prioritize multiple tasks on hand while still paying attention to detail
-Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization; ability to build excellent working relationships within a matrix environment (both cross-functionally and globally).
-Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
-Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
