We are seeking full-time Workers' Compensation Defense Paralegal for a permanent opening with a growing firm in the Charleston area supporting 2 attorneys. Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of prior Worker's Compensation legal experience, excellent organizational, communication, and software skills. The salary for this position is 35k-60k based on prior work experience.

Typical Duties:

Electronic filing of claims and appeals

Handle correspondence with claimants, medical offices and agencies

Extensive phone contact with agencies, clients and medical providers

Prepare case for hearings

Assist attorneys with post hearing follow up

Other duties as assigned

Working hours: 8am-5pm


Minimum Requirements:

*At least 3 year of Worker's Compensation paralegal experience, insurance defense experience preferred

*Excellent organization and communication skills

*Advanced proficiency in MS Office with a typing speed of 60wpm plus

*Ability to multitask and re-prioritize tasks as needed

*Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
