Our legal team is growing and we are looking for you to join us as our next Paralegal. In this role you will assist with the day to day functions of the Bright Horizons’ Legal Department, and supporting the 800+ Bright Horizons centers.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Assist with licensing compliance matters and other sensitive issues through preparation of documents and by engaging with representatives of government agencies.

  • Support claim and litigation management needs by assembling documents, responding to subpoenas for documents and answering questions about such requests from both internal and external sources.

  • Draft letters, affidavits, and certifications; create and review center enrichment and other vendor contracts; review and processing of state child care subsidy agreements.

  • Responsibility for all annual corporate reports, maintenance of corporate minute books, etc.

  • Log and track crisis calls, Help Desk requests and other communications.

  • Assist client services and client relations teams with questions on proposed RFPs, vendor forms, tax questions, contracts, etc.

  • Perform legal research to support Legal Department.

  • A solid academic record and a paralegal certificate

  • At least 2-4 years’ experience as a legal assistant in-house counsel or with a law firm.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, listening, communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Creativity and innovation in improving organizational and administrative processes.

  • Top research ability using traditional and Internet sources.

  • Computer skills using Microsoft programs.

  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic, good judgment, and a sense of humor.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and address multiple assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
